My friend Caroline and I came up with this flavor combination about a year ago, but recently we went back and revamped everything about it with all of our macaron skills we've accumulated since then. Our idea for the design was based on a gold and blue ornamental tea cup, and is accomplished with a gold pearlescent powder finish on the macaron shells themselves.
